About

Built by people who watch every match

Chromaturf started with a simple frustration: why does half the pitch disappear during afternoon kick-offs? We built the solution.

The Problem We Noticed

Every football fan knows the feeling. It’s a 3pm kick-off, the sun is low, and the broadcast camera is fighting an impossible battle — one half of the pitch blown white, the other lost in shadow. Players run from visibility into darkness and back again. The ball vanishes at the worst possible moment.

This isn’t a niche problem. It happens in virtually every stadium in the world at certain times of day and year. Yet broadcast technology has historically treated it as an unavoidable limitation. We didn’t think it had to be.

Our Approach

Chromaturf sits in the broadcast signal chain between the camera and the viewer. It analyses each frame, identifies where the lighting problems are, and applies intelligent corrections in real time — fast enough for live broadcast, subtle enough that viewers never notice the processing. They just notice that the picture looks better.

We combine computer vision, adaptive image processing, and deep domain knowledge of broadcast engineering to deliver a solution that works within existing production workflows. No new cameras. No special lenses. Just a better picture.
